Directions
In a saucepan, simmer the apple cider until it reduces to 1/2 cup. Let it cool.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
In another bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add the egg and mix well. Then add the reduced apple cider and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
Preheat the donut maker or preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
If using a donut maker, follow the manufacturer's instructions to cook the donuts. If using a donut pan, pipe or spoon the batter into the prepared pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow the donuts to cool slightly, then remove from the pan and transfer them to a wire rack.
Optional: Dust the donuts with powdered sugar or cinnamon-sugar mixture for extra flavor.
Serve warm and enjoy!
